Terms of Service

Verbatim turns material you provide (an article link, a YouTube video with captions, or text you paste) into draft X threads and LinkedIn carousel PDFs using AI writing models. Verbatim does not post to any social network for you. You review, edit, and publish drafts yourself.

• You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
• Give accurate account information and keep your password private. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• Tell us promptly at support@verbatimcoach.com if you think your account has been accessed without permission.
• Verbatim is a business tool for professionals. It is not directed to children.

Free plan. The free plan includes 3 generations per calendar month (UTC). Unused generations do not roll over. We may change free-plan limits with notice on the site.

Pro plan. Pro costs $29 per month (USD), plus any tax that applies, and includes unlimited generations subject to the fair-use limits in section 6.

Automatic renewal. Pro is a subscription that renews automatically every month until you cancel. When you subscribe, you authorize us, through our payment processor Stripe, to charge your payment method $29 (plus applicable tax) on the day you subscribe and on the same day of each following month. Charges appear on your statement as VERBATIMRENTALS.

Price changes. If we change the Pro price, we will email you at least 30 days before the new price applies to your next renewal. You can cancel before then if you do not accept it.

Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe may retry it. If it still cannot be collected, your account returns to the free plan. Your saved drafts stay available.

You can cancel online at any time, with no phone call or email required: sign in, open Billing, choose Manage billing, and cancel in the Stripe customer portal. The portal confirms the cancellation on screen.

Cancellation stops all future charges. You keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for, then your account moves to the free plan. You will not be charged again unless you subscribe again. If you have trouble cancelling, email support@verbatimcoach.com and we will cancel it for you.

If you are new to Pro, you can ask for a full refund of your first Pro payment within 7 days of that charge. Later renewal payments and partial months are not refunded or prorated, except for billing errors or where the law requires otherwise. The full details are in our Refund Policy.

You agree not to use Verbatim to:

• Submit material you do not have the right to use, or repurpose someone else’s work in a way that infringes their copyright or other rights.
• Create content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or that promotes violence.
• Create spam, deceptive or misleading content, impersonation, or content that falsely claims to come from another person or organization.
• Publish health, legal, or financial claims you cannot support, or otherwise mislead the people you coach or advise.
• Probe, scan, overload, or attack the service; get around usage limits; or access it through automated means other than the app itself.
• Resell or share account access, or use Verbatim to build a competing product.
• Use the service in violation of the usage policies of our AI providers (including OpenAI’s usage policies) or any applicable law.

“Unlimited” on Pro means you do not have a monthly generation cap for normal individual use. We may slow, limit, or contact you about usage that looks automated, shared across many people, or harmful to the service.

You keep all rights to the material you submit and the drafts generated for you (“Your Content”). You give us a limited license to store, process, and transmit Your Content only as needed to run Verbatim for you, including sending it to the processors listed in our Privacy Policy. We do not use Your Content to advertise and we do not sell it.

You are responsible for having the rights to what you submit, for example your own articles and talks, or material you are licensed to use.

• Drafts are produced by AI models and can be inaccurate, incomplete, or invent details, quotes, or numbers that were not in your source.
• Drafts may resemble content generated for other users, and we cannot guarantee that they are unique or eligible for copyright protection.
• You must review and edit every draft before publishing. You are the author and publisher of anything you post, and you are responsible for it.
• Verbatim does not provide professional, legal, medical, or financial advice, and drafts are not a substitute for it.

Verbatim relies on third-party services, including Stripe (payments), OpenAI (AI writing), Vercel (hosting), and Neon (database). Their availability and terms are outside our control. Links to YouTube, X, LinkedIn, or other sites are provided for convenience; those sites are governed by their own terms.

The Verbatim name, software, design, and slide templates belong to us. Apart from the rights in Your Content, these terms do not transfer any ownership to you. If you send feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.

You can stop using Verbatim at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or put the service or other people at risk. If we close a paid account without cause, we will refund the unused part of your current billing period.

Verbatim is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that drafts will produce any particular business result.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to Verbatim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

If you use Verbatim in breach of these terms or the law, or publish content that infringes someone else’s rights, you agree to cover reasonable losses and costs we incur because of it.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, please email us so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days. Any lawsuit must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Michigan, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer-protection laws that cannot be waived.

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will email account holders or show a notice in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Verbatim after that date means you accept the updated terms.
